El Dr. Paul Jensen, PhD, PE, CIC, miembro del Grupo Central de ETTi, junto con la investigadora principal de CITC, Lisa Chen, MD, coeditaron el Control y Prevención de la infección por tuberculosis: un manual práctico para prevenir la tuberculosis, segunda edición. La nueva edición incluye capítulos ampliados Controles ambientales – Ventilación; Salas de aislamiento de infecciones transmitidas por el aire; Clínicas; y Homeless Shelters ahora están disponibles con otros 3 capítulos actualizados publicados en 2022.

Who publishes updated recommendations on prevention and control of tb infections

14 March 2019 | Geneva: the world health organization has just published updated guidelines of who on prevention and control of tuberculosis infection. These guidelines describe a new evidence-based framework that promotes the implementation of an integrated package of infections prevention and control interventions (CPI) based on administrative, engineering and respiratory protection controls. This will help reduce the transmission and reduce the burden of tuberculosis and death disease to achieve the global objectives of the strategy for the end of tuberculosis and the political declaration of the un high-level meeting on tuberculosis.

The update of these guidelines was achieved through collaboration with an international panel of experts on prevention and control of infections and representatives of affected communities.
Arquisalud, was present with the participation of the architect Isabel Ochoa Delgado, as a member of the international panel.
