Biophilic Urbanism is an architectural concept centered on the integration of natural systems and processes into the built environment to enhance human well-being and ecological health. Rather than viewing nature as a peripheral aesthetic, this approach embeds vegetation, natural light, and water features directly into the structural fabric of cities through living walls, rooftop forests, and daylighting strategies. By bridging the gap between modern infrastructure and the innate human need for biological connection, biophilic design aims to reduce urban heat islands, improve air quality, and foster psychological restoration within high-density landscapes.
