"Peu Brut v.2" a Tropical Brutalist Tiny Home.

"Peu Brut v.2" is designed to survive through tropical storms, this our proposal in response to damages from typhoons.

Looking through photos from Siargao, Cebu and Bohol, structures made up of nipa/cogon/wood and gi sheets are wiped out (this is the design of typical resorts in the island), all that remains are structural concrete. In time maybe typhoon prone islands should have a distinctive design style.

Most of the establishments in Siargao rely on generator since it often experiences power shortage, but what happens when the island runs out of gas? We should start investing in Solar panels with batteries. Vertical wind turbines can also be an option, it can harvest energy from wind coming all directions...

My team is doing a case study on harvesting dew water as clean drinkable water. Right now the island is experiencing drinking water shortage, this shouldn't happen because in tropical countries water is literally in the air. If we could harvest even just a fraction of that it could be another step forward.

A vision for mass production. Designing a 26sqm home that could go off-the grid and can be built relatively anywhere. Ready for solar panels and water harvesting system. This home has a full bathroom, a sleeping loft that fits a Queen sized bed, a kitchen, a living room and a lanai that can be used for al fresco dining. Imagine this on a mountain view or beach front type of setting. What a treat would it be.
