Lesson 5 : Activity Chart
OYSTER
"GH Care & Fruiting Stage Activity to maximize the Biological Effeciency of your Substrate"
1. Rule of thumb:
Higher biological effeciency (Yield of Produce) of your substrate depends on substrate preparation: (composting, raw materials used, duration of composting, added nutrients like innoculants such as IMO, EM1, FPJ, FAA, FFJ and other boosters, proper growth parameters are strickly adhered to)
2. Proper Care of your Fruiting Bags within its entire life cycle will entail higher yield
Charted Daily Activities
1. 1st Month
A. Disinfect your Growing house 3 times a week before hanging the fully ramified FBs
B. Hang fully Ramified fruiting bags
C. Disinfect for the last time GH with hanged FB and closed the GH for a couple of hour
D. Cold shock or mist spray all fruiting bags, GH walls and floor
First 5 days :
Mist spray Cold water to achieve pinhead formation temperature of 25 C or lower
And when pins are on its 2nd day maintain 25-27 degree celcius and 75-90% relative Humidity inside the growing house.
6 th to 19th days :
Mist the front sides of FBs 2-4x a day (when temperature is hot) and 1-2 times a day when temperature is Cold)
25th day :
After 2 to 3 flushings of fruits, cut the front sides of the plastic covering mouth 2 inches from the substrate of the FB
26 to 30th day : Mist 2-3x a day after harvest and strickly follow required temperature of 26 to 27C
2nd Month
On this stage, your homemade Booster will be needed and will come handy to improve yield
1. Slit or slash the backside of the Fbs
2. cold shock or mist spray all fbags (front and back sides)
The reason why we should mist spray the backside as well as the front side is because mycelia has already covered the whole walls of the substrate and the moist from the misting activity will no longer be able to pe*****te the substrates inside the mycelia walled substrate.
3. Scrape the front sides at least an inch thick and refresh the back side substrate by misting it with booster
Schedule of per Day/Days
A. First 2 days day:
Dont mist the front side
First 5 days days: Do not mist back side of the FBs
6 days onward the end of the month:
Mist 2-3x a day and adhere to required growth parameters of the mushroom, constantly water the walls and floor ro achieve the right humidity required
Mist spray FB with your Homemade boosters every after harvest
On the 3rd Month: just repeat the process from treatment to misting and always meet the required growth parameters of the mushroom
Note:
The above mentioned lesson is a standard form of activities and is applied only case to case basis.
Areas that are situated in Cold Zones, their activity chart is totally different from this
Always remember to consider these 5 factors
1. Temperature
2. Humidity
3. Lighting of GH
4. Proper gas exchanges
5. Space management (congestion problem?
