Botanical Name: Christia Obcordata

Common name: Butterfly plant; Swallowtail plant.
These beautiful plant proudly shows off its leaves shaped like a butterfly hence the common name. They grow up to 3ft tall. Featured here is already 4 feet tall and almost catching up to my height.
They are not picky in terms of soil and weather although they thrive better in partly shaded areas because they tend to get burned if they are placed in direct sunlight just like how our we get burnt out when we sit in the office working for hours. They too need a break.
They can be grown both indoors and outdoors and needs water only 2 to 3 times a week. They follow a strict diet unlike me.
They can be propagated from seeds that can be collected after flowering. It takes a while to actually grow but if you have patience it will definitely pay off and add beauty to your garden and life.
