The client wanted the conversion of the balcony into a fully usable interior space and the addition of an office den without compromising the overall look of the house. A design solution was developed by enclosing the balcony and integrating it as an extension of the adjacent room. An office space was then added above the carport and connected seamlessly to the expanded area, resulting in improved functionality and a cohesive exterior design that maintains its architectural character.

During DD, we take the chosen design direction and add depth, refining layouts, dimensions, materials, and structural systems. This is the phase where architecture meets practicality—we make sure that the creative vision aligns with real-world functionality, ensuring the building will perform as intended while staying true to the aesthetic goals. Coordination with engineers and consultants is key here, as we begin addressing elements like HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems. This 18.00 sq.m. grilling house successfully integrates functionality with aesthetic appeal while optimizing space for both customer interaction and grilling operations. Without damaging the existing roof, the structure's straightforward gable roof and use of corrugated metal panels offer an economical yet durable solution for a grilling house. The space is divided effectively between the customer and cooking areas. Customers can easily access the counter for ordering and see the grilling area, which adds transparency and engagement. The open design allows for better airflow, which is important for ventilation in grilling spaces.

Choosing red and black color scheme aligns with the branding of the business, making it easily recognizable. String lights along the roofline add a warm and inviting ambiance, especially for evening operations, while also enhancing visibility. This adds a festive touch and creates an enjoyable environment for customers, making the space feel alive even during rainy conditions.
