Paints, such as BOYSEN Automotive Lacquer, are recommended to be applied using a spray gun to achieve a high-gloss finish. However, there are two types of spray gun that can be used to apply paint: an airless and conventional spray gun.

Airless spray gun is best used for water-based paint applications (e.g. BOYSEN Permacoat Latex) since formation of craters might occur if conventional spray gun will be used. This is due to the introduction of air.

BOYSEN Automotive Lacquer is a solvent-based product therefore a conventional spray gun is recommended.
