Golden Hour Hits Different on Begonias 🌿✨

Late afternoon sunlight + bathroom humidity + happy begonias. 😭🌸

I placed most of my rex and cane begonias under the table where they get bright filtered light, grow lights, high humidity, and gentle airflow from the open window.

Then during sunset, the silver and pink leaves start glowing like this. ✨

Honestly, I didn’t plan for my bathroom to become a begonia sanctuary… but the plants clearly approved. 😂🌿

Not everyone understands why I keep filling spaces with plants… but this little jungle corner makes me happy. 🌱🤍

From tiny cuttings to climbing poles, every leaf here grew with patience, humidity, and a little obsession 😂🌿

Almost 3 years later and this little rainforest is still alive. 🌿💧

This paludarium already went through one major redesign back in 2022, and honestly… I’m just happy it still works and brings me peace everyday.

Tried adding fish before, but I realized I enjoy this setup more this way — simple, low maintenance, just flowing water, moss, wood, and tiny plants quietly thriving together.

One of my favorite things to do lately is just sit here and stare at it after a long day.

Soft pink leaves + velvet glow = instant heart eyes 🌸✨

One of my favorite babies in the veranda garden right now, Philodendron Pink Micans.
The pastel pink variegation on every new leaf still gets me every single time. 🥹

🌿 Begonias Under the Table 🌿

A little hidden jungle filled with silver leaves, velvet textures, candy-pink patterns, freckles, spikes, shimmer, and drama. ✨

Some begonias look painted.
Some look unreal under grow lights.
And somehow each one has its own personality.

Honestly one of the most addictive plant groups to collect… 😅
Pero may catch — love & hate relationship talaga kami ni Begonias. Very tricky alagaan. Yung tipong kapag hindi pa mukhang nagtatampo yung dahon, hindi ko pa didiligan. 😂

Too much water? Drama.
Too dry? Drama din.
Pero pag happy sila… grabe yung reward. 🌿✨

✨ Begonia “Silver Jewel” ✨

One of the most eye-catching rhizomatous begonias because of its metallic silver leaves and deep green markings that almost look hand-painted. Under good lighting, the tiny hairs on the leaves give a soft sparkling effect in person. 🌿

Interesting plant fact:
“Silver Jewel” is believed to be a hybrid of Begonia imperialis × Begonia pustulata, which is why many collectors sometimes confuse it with pure Begonia imperialis. The pebbled texture and shimmering silver finish are some of its most loved features.

Hi, I’m Charms.
I’m usually a shy person, but here I am finally sharing a little bit of myself with you. I hope we become plant friends 🤗

I use this page to sell plants from my own propagations, and sometimes plants I bought from other sellers when I accidentally end up with more than one… because honestly, that’s part of the joy of plant collecting. Haha!

La Plant es Vida is a home-based garden located in Carmona, Cavite.

Ever since I was young, I’ve always been surrounded by plants. Not because we owned a plant shop or garden business, but because I grew up seeing my grandmother care for her plants in our province. I still remember the beautiful San Francisco plants in front of our house and how amazed I was that one leaf could carry so many colors — like a painting made by nature itself.

My grandmother also loved growing orchids, and I always looked forward to their flowering season. I guess that’s where my love for plants really started.

From planting vegetables, roses, and sansevierias… to now collecting scindapsus, philodendrons, caladiums, and variegated plants — plants have become such a huge part of my life.

Oh, how I love being a Plantita 🌱

Plants became my safe space — somewhere I can go whenever life feels overwhelming. I love how they keep me busy without making me feel stressed.

Plants give me peace… until a flying palaka suddenly jumps out of nowhere 🐸😂
