Proposed Temple of the Holy Spirit and Saint Rita Shrine

Total Floor Area : 13,800 sqm.
The temple is a landmark religious development envisioned on the cliffside of Tabor Hill, Talamban, Cebu City, commanding a prominent and serene natural setting. With a total floor area of approximately 13,800 square meters, the project integrates sacred worship spaces with essential support facilities to accommodate both daily parish activities and large-scale pilgrimages.
The church structure crowns the topmost level of the development and enjoys direct road access, symbolizing spiritual ascent while ensuring ease of entry for worshippers. Below the main church are thoughtfully planned secular dormitory facilities, wake chapels, and parking provisions for over 200 vehicles, efficiently arranged to maximize the challenging cliffside terrain.
Complementing the main sanctuary are open-side parks and landscaped gathering areas, designed to accommodate large groups of pilgrims visiting the shrine. These spaces also function as spill-off areas during major liturgical celebrations, particularly for dawn masses and special feast days, allowing the church to extend beyond its enclosed walls and engage the surrounding landscape.
Overall, the project aspires to be both a spiritual destination and a community anchor, harmoniously blending architecture, topography, and faith in a setting of contemplation and reverence.
