RMT House.
A residence within the city that showcases the scenic and unobstructed views of the city landscape.
The house program: Working in close collaboration with the multi-awarded sustainability innovator Engineer Don Manuel Consorcio, President of C. DON MANUEL/HAWAII, Inc. in Hawaii, USA., we apply green initiatives and sustainable approaches in the residence to optimize sustainability, natural conditions, air flow strategies and energy conservation. This has been well studied by Engineer Don and the team from planning, to application of sustainable innovations, and up to the design process.
As you approach the residence, the 6-meter narrow frontage gives you a spark of curiosity as to what is inside the premises. Upon entering the foyer, you will be greeted with a picturesque view of the city. An open plan, high-ceiling living area and a spiral staircase that serves as the focal point of the spaces and acts as a wind tunnel, removing hot air from the house.
Open plan: The interconnection of the spaces and openings are carefully considered to enhance the air flow and the view while adhering to the necessary control of sunlight. The interiors are a sophisticated harmony of natural materials and glass. The floor-to-ceiling glass walls and doors create an invisible threshold between the inside and outside, with a panoramic view of the city.
