a design that honors the existing structure while elevating everyday living. creating more clarity, comfort, and functional flow within the existing structure.

sharing renders for a two-storey home renovation and extension. we redefined the interior spaces to improve movement and natural light, added integrated storage, and extended the home to allow for more grounded, livable areas.

the design maintains a warm, modern, and natural aesthetic while responding to the family’s daily patterns and spatial needs. a calm, intentional upgrade to a home that continues to evolve with its users.

deepening our understanding of bamboo’s potential with and , two teams leading the way in pushing this incredible material forward.

it was an honor to witness the full treatment process, practice bamboo joinery, explore modeling and construction methods, and study long-lasting, resilient bamboo design alongside such an inspiring group.

as a studio, we’re committed to carrying this practice forward, continuing to build with natural materials like bamboo and creating structures that work in harmony with nature.

tracing the first lines of a project by sharing conceptual studies for a farmhouse in southern cebu. a project grounded in natural materials, regenerative planning, and a deep reading of the land:

1. site analysis: helps us identify various potencies and constraints that inform the architectural design
2. views: taking note of scenic points like these offer opportunities for the architecture to frame the landscape
3. design concept: highlighting natural materials such as bamboo, rammed earth, guided by permaculture principles
4. 3d site model: shows a moderate slope that allows for water flow and natural irrigation
5. masterplan: separates key buildable and non-buildable areas
6. building design: early ideas are conceptualized to be further developed later

these early explorations set the foundation for a home that grows with the terrain, not against it. next, schematic design studies and the first glimpse of the architectural form.
