Celebrating a monumental milestone with some of our favorite Square Pegs.

We just had the absolute honor of toasting to Venus, Miguel, and Al. Watching these dedicated apprentices officially become licensed Architects fills the entire Onpoint Studios team with immense pride.

We are deeply grateful not just for the time you’ve invested with us, but for the energy you bring to the studio every day. Thank you for your willingness to share your fresh ideas, your openness to learn, and for allowing us to grow right alongside you during this journey. Mentorship is a two-way street, and we are better for having you on the team.

We cannot wait to see you craft your own creations and leave a lasting impact on the built environment.

Sonata and The Ripple of Life

There is a unique joy in visiting a site and seeing a masterplan prepared three years ago slowly becoming a vibrant community. Today’s visit to Sonata left us feeling elated and deeply fulfilled.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Starlight Ventures Inc, Engr. Ludwig Ledesma, Dra Lourdes Ledesma and Family for trusting OnPoint Studio to realize our advocacy of making a difference through good design.

One of the defining details here is the facade pattern (swipe to see!). We designed it to represent the "ripple of life," a visual reminder of how harmony and positive energy start within the home and ripple outward to the whole neighborhood.

It is an honor to watch this vision unfold.

Balai Ciudad sang Passi

The heart of Passi, Reborn

Rising from the land like a long-awaited vision, the new Passi City Hall stands not as a monument of concrete — but as a living promise.

Imagined by young, fearless designers and shaped by leaders who believe that true governance must be open, honest, and human, this structure was born from a single conviction: a city hall should reflect the soul of its people.

Every curve, every line, every open space was crafted with deliberate care — guided by user-journey analysis, grounded in environmental respect, and humbled by the land it stands on.

At the center of this commitment is a sacred choice:
to keep all 14 age-old trees on site, letting them become part of the architecture itself.
Not obstacles — but elders.
Not remnants — but anchors of memory and guardians of the future.

Here, the building does not conquer nature; it grows with it. The trees breathe through its spaces, casting light, shadow, and history across a place meant for every citizen of Passi.

Its sweeping form embraces the city, its culture, and its environment — a gesture of unity made visible.

This is not just a city hall.
It is the spirit of Passi, rooted and rising.
Of the people.
For the people.
For the Earth.
And for the generations these trees will continue to witness.

Designing with Purpose. Building with People.

Yesterday, we officially launched the Juris Building—a milestone made possible by an intensive and deeply collaborative design journey. From crafting its architectural morphology and sense of space, to understanding the users’ journey and translating the owners’ dreams and aspirations into form, every decision was made with care and intention.

This project is the result of countless days and nights of collaboration with dedicated specialty professionals—aligning visions, refining details, and ensuring that every space and element is exactly where it should be.

More than technology, it is human collaboration that brings architecture to life and moves our world forward.

Our deepest kudos and gratitude to everyone whose hands and minds touched this project in one way or another. This opus stands as a testament to shared passion, trust, and collective excellence.

WHY ROAD HUMPS MAY BE HURTING—NOT HELPING—OUR VILLAGE

Before we add another hump, let’s rethink what truly makes our streets safe. Road humps seem like the easiest way to slow down drivers. But in reality, they often create more problems than solutions. Here are four important reasons why our village should avoid using humps.

1. THEY CAN COST LIVES
When every second matters, humps get in the way. Ambulances, fire trucks, and police vehicles all lose precious time slowing down at each hump. That small delay could be the difference between:

• A patient surviving a heart attack
• A fire being put out in time
• A criminal being caught

We should never place obstacles on the road when lives may depend on a clear path.

2. THEY INCREASE POLLUTION
Every time a car slows down for a hump, it burns more fuel. More fuel means:

• More emissions
• More pollution
• A bigger carbon footprint for our entire village

If we care about clean air and a greener future, humps work against that goal.

3. THEY DAMAGE CARS (AND OUR WALLETS)
Humps may look harmless, but frequent impact causes:

• Misaligned wheels
• Damaged suspension • Underbody scraping
• Higher maintenance costs

Residents shouldn’t have to pay more for vehicle repairs just because of the road design.

4. THEY CAN MAKE THE ROAD MORE DANGEROUS
Drivers slow before a hump—but speed up after. This creates unsafe “speed-up zones” between humps. Pedestrians expect slow cars. Drivers expect to make up time. That mix leads to more risk, not less.

THERE ARE BETTER WAYS TO KEEP OUR STREETS SAFE
Modern village planning offers smarter, safer solutions—without the downsides. We can use:
• Shorter blocks
• Mini-rotundas or landscaped islands
• Curb extensions
• Clear signage
• Well-designed street furniture and greenery
These naturally calm traffic without blocking emergency vehicles or harming the environment.

LET’S BUILD A SAFER VILLAGE—THE SMART WAY
Humps may be small, but their impact is big. Before asking for one on our street, let’s ask ourselves:

“If my loved one needed help urgently, would I want an obstacle slowing the
responders down?”

Let’s choose solutions that protect lives, protect our environment, and protect each other.
