𝗣𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗽𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗔𝗿𝘁𝗶𝘀𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗦𝗮𝗹𝘁𝘀 🇵🇭

In the Philippines, there are different salt varieties and they’re produced in different parts of the country. Apart from rock salt, which most of us are familiar with, there are kinds unique to us, such as the

𝗧𝘂𝗹𝘁𝘂𝗹 - salt blocks made from seawater and 𝑐𝑜𝑐𝑜𝑛𝑢𝑡 𝑚𝑖𝑙𝑘 from 𝖧𝗈𝗌𝗄𝗒𝗇, 𝖦𝗎𝗂𝗆𝖺𝗋𝖺𝗌,

𝗦𝘂𝗴𝗽𝗼 𝗔𝘀𝗶𝗻 - prawn ponds are turned into naturally pale pink sea salt from 𝖯𝖺𝗇𝗀𝖺𝗌𝗂𝗇𝖺𝗇,

𝗔𝘀𝗶𝗻 𝗧𝗶𝗯𝘂𝗼𝗸 - an artisanal salt made from 𝖠𝗅𝖻𝗎𝗋𝗊𝗎𝖾𝗋𝗊𝗎𝖾, 𝖡𝗈𝗁𝗈𝗅 that looks like a 𝑑𝑖𝑛𝑜𝑠𝑎𝑢𝑟 𝑒𝑔𝑔,

𝗕𝘂𝘆-𝗼 (Asin sa Buy-o) - sea salt in wooven palm leaves from 𝖡𝗈𝗍𝗈𝗅𝖺𝗇, 𝖹𝖺𝗆𝖻𝖺𝗅𝖾𝗌, and

𝗧𝗲𝗱-𝘁𝗲𝗱 - three months piles into a 𝑠𝑡𝑎𝑙𝑎𝑔𝑚𝑖𝑡𝑒-𝑙𝑖𝑘𝑒 𝑚𝑜𝑢𝑛𝑑 of salt from 𝖯𝖺𝗌𝗎𝗊𝗎𝗂𝗇, 𝖨𝗅𝗈𝖼𝗈𝗌 𝖭𝗈𝗋𝗍𝖾.

Each of these salts lend a different nuance of taste to dishes we’ve become familiar with.
