Have you heard of Nature Therapy?
☘ Just the very act of being in nature promotes mindfulness, gratitude, and has a calming effect on our mind, body, and soul.
☘ The inherent ‘peace and quiet’ of natural environments can easily help to clear your mind of unnecessary worries and reduce feelings of anger and tension.
There are a few common practices that encourage connection with nature and assist in healing.
🌍 Earthing
(walking bare feet on the earth)
🌍 Nature Meditation
(spend a few minutes contemplating how nature relates to you and what you can learn from it)
🤸♂️ Adventure Therapy
(rock climbing, mountain hiking, river rafting, camping)
☘ Care Farming
(working or visiting a farm: looking after animals, woodland management, growing food)
🌳 Horticultural Therapy
(planting trees, digging soil, trimming leaves, and gardening)
💪 Green Gym
(exercise in a green environment, sweating surrounded by fresh air and breeze)
💚 Each person has a different experience and ways to connect with nature, for some us gardening can provide an outlet for stress and others walking or sitting on the grass can provide solace and peace.
💚 Spending time in nature helps regulate the nervous system and immunity, and exercising releases endorphins that evoke feelings of pleasure and make you happy.
💚 And nature is a great friend, that you can talk with until your smile returns and your mind is calm.
