The Technological University of the Philippines Visayas - Binalbagan Campus (TUPV-BC) is all set to rise after the project partnership solidified in a deed of donation and Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) signing inked between TUPV and Carmen Agricultural Development Corporation (CADC) at Nature’s Village Resort, Talisay City, Aug. 12.
TUPV-BC will be the first satellite campus in the system in Southern Negros which is anticipated to be built in a three-hectare land donation from CADC located at Brgy. San Jose, Binalbagan.
“This is not only an opportunity for Binalbaganon students but also for the nearest cities and towns,” Binalbagan Municipal Mayor Alejandro Mirasol shared in a Facebook post.
Furthermore, Mirasol considered this project as a chance that opens “new beginnings for students” and can provide the “good education they deserve.”
“I would like to give our heartfelt gratitude to Mr. Franklin Fuentebella and TUP Visayas for this opportunity,” Mirasol expressed in behalf of Binalbagan’s Local Government Unit (LGU). “This will not only help the students but also help boost our economy. Madamo guid nga salamat.”
Moreover, TUP System President Engr. Reynaldo Ramos; Dr. Eric Malo-oy, Dr. Lainie Mae Bala-an, Engr. Marc Francis Siason, Engr. Leoncio Jamora Jr., Engr. Jovel Young, and Rutchel Pabalinas of TUPV; Lucia Villafranca, Aurora Fuentebella, and Franklin Fuentebella of CADC; and Hon. Mirasol and Hon. Emilio Bernardino Yulo III of Binalbagan LGU, attended the signing ceremony.
