Red/Maroon colors aren't showing yet since it's grown outdoors. There's not enough sunlight because it's the rainy season.

Colors usually go back during summer/dry season.

Red/Maroon colored flytraps need at least 8 hours of bright light to maintain their red colors.

Sarracenia Purpurea "Venosa"

What I love about Sarracenias are their bright colors. You can just stare at them all day.

What's great about them is they're not as expensive compared to their Tropical Counterparts (Nepenthes). They're also fast growers.

Sure, they're way below the carnivorous plants heirarchy in therms if market value, but they're just underrated plants that will make your gardens colorful (and pest-free too!).

An oldie but goodie! One of my long-time favorite because it's easy-to-grow and an eye catcher. Those red traps are surely stunning.

Let me introduce you to the Sarracenia "Scarlette Belle." It's a good beginner's plant since it's quite hardy and doesn't require a lot of special attention.

You could even give it direct morning sun (not summer sun though). Just be prepared when it starts to attract ants and other insects because it's a very prolific carnivorous plant.

This is a hybrid between two Sarracenia species: Sarracenia Psitttacina and Saracenia Leucophylla. You could look these names up because I don't have them yet.😂
