Selenicereus anthonyanus is a cactus species native to southern Mexico. It is grown as an ornamental because of its nocturnal flowers and unusual, leaf-like stems. Common names include fishbone cactus, rick rack cactus, zig-zag cactus and St. Anthony's rik-rak, and is sometimes referred to as an orchid cactus.

Jewel Orchid (Anoectochilus sp.)

This plant is easy to grow and flower with some of the most beautiful foliage to be found among the jewel orchids, so named because of their interesting colored leaves.

The bright yellow spoon-shaped flowers emerge from the center of the rosette of leaves as a point almost looking like asparagus in structure. Over a couple of months these spikes elongate, reveal their flower buds and flower for a month or two. Once flowered, a new growth will be generated at the base and the flowered growth will eventually fade away. The leaves are a beautiful velvety maroon color with gold, jewel-like veining.
