I'll tell you exactly what happens when a Filipino starts building a house.
The Feng Shui master arrives. They walk the property. They say move the door 3 inches to the right, the kitchen shouldn't face north, don't start construction on a Tuesday.
The client says, "Yes po." Follows every instruction.
Tapos babayaran yung consultation fee.

The client says, "Ay, mahal yan"

I'm not here to shame anyone. I understand Filipino culture.
Gusto nating protektahan ang pamilya. We want prosperity. That instinct is valid.
Pero ang mga bahay natin dito sa Pilipinas sits on active fault lines. With typhoons. With flooding.
