Vigan City, Ilocos Sur โ October 11, 2025 โ The Commission on the Sentro ng Arkitekturang Filipino (UAP-CFA) successfully held the CFA RoadshowโVigan at the National Museum of the Philippines โ Vigan City Branch, gathering architects from across Northern Luzon and students from the University of Northern Philippines for a day of learning and cultural exchange.
Organized by the UAP-CFA in partnership with the UAP Ilocos Ciudad Fernandina Chapter and the National Museum of the Philippines, the Roadshow aimed to promote awareness and appreciation of the countryโs rich architectural heritage through lectures and discussions by distinguished architects specializing in heritage conservation and preservation.
Among the featured speakers were Ar. Rino Fernandez, who discussed the architectural components of traditional Filipino homes; Ar. Marvin Belgica, who shared his experience in restoring the Our Lady of Caysasay Church in Batangas; Ar./Enp. Fatima Alonzo, who highlighted the distinct architectural heritage of Vigan City; and Ar. Christian Nico Pilotin, who provided insights into the implementation of the Vigan City Heritage Code. Joining the event is Vigan City Vice Mayor HON. GLENDALE BENZON
With the success of its Vigan leg, the CFA Roadshow continues to advance its mission of spreading awareness and appreciation of Filipino architectural heritage across the regions. The next leg of the Roadshow will take place on December 7, 2025, at the National Museum of the Philippines โ Daraga, in the province of Albay.
