Mañosa & Associates, Architects & Planners emerged from the original partnership MOÑOSA-ZIALCITA Architects which is a spin off from the original partnership MAÑOSA BROTHERS Architects & Planners (Manuel Jr., Francisco and Jose) established in 1954 and responsible for projects ranging from commercial and residential buildings, conventional office, shops and factory buildings, hospitals and medical
centers, schools, industrial complexes, new communities and urban development. In 1977, MAÑOSA BROTHERS was restructured in response to increased and diversified demands, thereby creating new autonomous firms which give emphasis to respective fields of specialization. One of the firms was MAÑOSA-ZIALCITA Architects which immediately after its inception continued the handling of the on going projects left by MAÑOSA BROTHERS Architects and Planners, and hence to the present firm JOSE T. JOSE T. MAÑOSA
Jose has greatly influenced the practice of architecture in the Philippines and heads one of the larger firms in the country. Under his guidance and leadership, his firm JTMA has realized a myriad of projects all worthy of mention within the focus of the global arena. Over the years Jose has advanced and innovated in commercial buildings, education institutions, corporate design, airports and industrial plants. Of significance are his works as consulting architect for the San Miguel Head Offices, the premier industrial conglomorate of the Philippines where he displayed his innovative designs in energy efficiency and in office space arrangements to fit the Filipino psyche. Within the global arena, Jose has worked collaboratively with Perkins and Will, Taliesin, Durrant, RTKL, BSA, and Airport de Paris on the countries notable projects. Individually, he has also extended his practice in various countries within Asia. Additionally Jose has contributed to the advancement of architecture in the Philippines focusing on the translations of our culture into the built environment. He is greatly respected in the architectural profession for his ethics and dealings with the building industry. AWARDS

1997-Mapua Institute of Technology
Outstanding Award in Architecture. A hill in Barangay Taruytoy, Libacao, Aklan was
officially named 'Monte de Mañosa'. The hill is located in the Central Panay Mountain Ranges (CPMR) overlooking the view of the four provinces of Panay Island. He was also recently considered as an adopted son of Libacao.
