HE RUNS A $150+ BILLION COMPANY AND STILL TOOK THE SUBWAY TO WORK. 😳🚇

While many executives arrive with convoys, tinted cars, and cameras waiting outside, BYD founder Wang Chuanfu was recently spotted doing something far simpler.

On April 2026, the billionaire CEO behind one of the world’s biggest EV companies was seen riding Beijing’s SUBWAY with his wife and company executives on the way to Auto China.

No dramatic entrance.
No luxury es**rt.
Just another commuter finding the fastest route through heavy traffic.

Worth an estimated $24+ billion, he could have chosen any car on earth. Instead, he chose efficiency.

And maybe that’s the real flex. 🧡

In 1928, a German architect named Herman Sörgel had a plan to save Europe.
Not through politics. Not through diplomacy. Through a dam.
His idea was called Atlantropa — and it was completely serious.
The plan: build a colossal dam across the Strait of Gibraltar, cutting off the Mediterranean from the Atlantic. Without the Atlantic feeding it, the Mediterranean would slowly evaporate. Sea levels would drop 200 metres. Six hundred thousand square kilometres of new land would emerge from the seafloor — enough to feed and house a continent.
But that was just the beginning.
A second dam between Sicily and Tunisia would split the Mediterranean in two. A third at the Dardanelles would control inflow from the Black Sea. The exposed seafloor would become farmland. A transcontinental railway would run from Berlin all the way to Cape Town. Europe and Africa would merge into one supercontinent — Atlantropa.
The dam at Gibraltar alone would generate 50,000 megawatts of electricity. Enough to power all of Europe and Africa combined.
Sörgel spent 24 years promoting this idea. Four books. Over a thousand published articles. Lectures across Europe. Serious engineers, architects and politicians debated it. It nearly happened.
Then nuclear power arrived. Colonialism collapsed. And the world moved on.
Sörgel never gave up. In December 1952, he was cycling to deliver yet another lecture on Atlantropa when a car struck him. He died that day. His dream died slowly after him. The Atlantropa Institute closed in 1960.
The Mediterranean is still there. Right where he wanted to drain it.
The world you think you know is wrong.
