PAREX - Pasig River Expressway
Notes:
Since that Ramon Ang will proceed with PAREX skyway they should follow the design similar to Japan. The elevated skyway should be erected near the pasig river and NOT DIRECTLY on the river. They should just demolish the slums near the riverbank for the right of way. So that they can hit 2 birds with 1 stone in fixing the slum problem and not further killing the river.
Knowing him they would rather build it on the river so that they can save money in acquiring ROW which would further deteriorate the river.
Solution 2 instead of building an elevated highway on the river why not build a Monorail or a Hanging MRT instead similar to Japan so that at least we can enjoy the view of the Pasig river?
We must consider that every smart city is not relying on cars but with its efficient mass transit system. They will only cater to the 10% of the population for the car owners which would not fix the problem but would further encourage people to buy more cars which would then add to the worsening volume of the traffic.
