Being able to redeem yourself is rare; being given the chance is rarer.
This renovation began with a regret—an earlier design decision in 2018 that fell short.
Three years later, the client reached out. He had a 50 square meter "tambakan" just outside his bedroom and a new idea: a whirlpool bath spot for him and his grandchildren.

What we gave him was more than a fix.
We gave him a reason to stop keeping the curtains closed.

This is one of our smaller projects, but one of the most meaningful. To have been able to redeem ourself here is something we treasure.

There’s something special about how light meets material.

When LEDs graze the surface of breezeblocks, the wall stops being just a wall; it becomes part of the atmosphere.

This is how we bring texture to life: Quietly, intentionally.

What does comfort look like when privacy comes first? Sometimes, it looks just like this.

CASA DI ALFRED
250 SQM
COMPLETED

The first home for a life-long friend: A newlywed couple with simple but meaningful requests. They wanted to use less air conditioning; to invite more natural light; to enjoy the comfort of privacy. What we created is a seamless connection of indoor and outdoor spaces. A double window system was designed to maximize natural ventilation and welcome light throughout the structure. Sometimes, comfort is not about adding more—it is about opening what is already there.

We heard you like shoji doors.
Instead of curtains, the client chose these.

Shoji doors: Custom-built in-house using pinewood.
Instead of rice paper, we used acrylic. It keeps the look, removes the upkeep.
We avoided modern sliding tracks; the movement stays traditional—quiet and intentional.

A small gesture; a big shift in how the unit feels.
Warm. Elegant. Just right.

When a simple scroll inspires an entire home: A story becomes space.

KATEI
50 SQM
COMPLETED

Katei—in Japanese, it means home. The name came to us after the client shared a scroll she had been given while living in Japan. A gift from a friend, it bore the words: “Respect Heaven and Love People.” It was a keepsake; a quiet reflection of who she is. That phrase became the seed of the design—subtle, sincere, and personal. From there, we shaped her first home: A space grounded in memory and built around meaning.

All wooden architectural details have been custom made by Ember.
Shoji Doors are custom as well.

When privacy meets paradise: The most relaxing place on earth begins here.

GEMINI HOUSE
500 SQM
PROPOSAL

This is our take on a two-bedroom, 500-square-meter resort home on an island we will soon develop. It is the first of three houses that will eventually rise in this private retreat. Gemini House recreates the feeling of an oasis: a place of quiet, surrounded by openness, yet carefully shaped for privacy. A sanctuary that feels like the most relaxing paradise on earth—designed to belong to you, and only you.

The house facing west.
Status: construction
Location: Laguna
Project 0 for one of our principal architects, designed for a scientist couple, the house's entire facade dsfes west and takes on all the heat from the sun.
Our solution: double skin facade on the entirety of the structure.
We took advantage of concrete decorative blocks not only for aesthetic purposes but to also create an ante wall to take on the heat instead dof the inner walls leaving the interiors cooler than the outside.
The same was done for the left side with 4 tiny windows, the stairwell acts as an air gap also that keeps the master bedroom cool.

Looking forward to finishing this.

Hillside Home V1
Initial design for our Hillside Home project when we initially thought that we were building the house on an open field.

It did pique our interest on how to create a home that blends a kubo with a modern twist, the house has laid the foundations for a more creative approach to the project.
