Client: Private

The concrete facade is punctuated by a series of windows along its curvature, with south-facing openings framed by adjustable vertical timber louvers. These elements serve as both functional and aesthetic features, mitigating solar heat gain, regulating daylight pe*******on, and promoting natural ventilation to ensure thermal comfort and breathability throughout the home. The architectural massing of this contemporary residence is informed by its footprint and the seamless integration of indoor and outdoor living spaces across all levels.

The elevated bedroom blocks on the upper floors are designed to remain cool, leveraging passive design strategies such as masonry layers, shaded balconies, roof gardens, and water features. The lap pool, strategically positioned on the upper floor, offers the client the opportunity to enjoy uninterrupted sunset views of the city skyline, further enhancing the experiential quality of the design. At the pinnacle of the structure, an outdoor living deck and bar provide a social space for gatherings, complemented by panoramic vistas that connect the home to its urban context.

Client brief: To accommodate the clients' repertoire of kitchen items, they wanted to recreate the space to become less cluttered and far more organized. This included creating storage solutions for every type of item - from packaged ingredients to refrigerated items, to equipment and machines.

Project Description: This design aims to facilitate efficiency and expand the area with a new layout.

Client brief: Following years of success, the client found it best to rebrand and thus renovate the shop. The original brand design utilized a spectrum of colors and elements that gave the impression that it catered mostly to children. The rebrand intends to realign that misconception and expand the clientele, an objective that also needs to be reflected in the new shop design. Additionally, the shop will be converted exclusively for takeout.

Project Description: For this brand, it was important to develop a curious yet aesthetically pleasing interior design that would draw customers and appeal to people of all ages. For this, a minimalist approach was employed. The goal was to develop well-lit interiors and highlight the plain walls as a photo-worthy space. This is meant to push customer engagement and encourage word of mouth.

[ Photos before and during Construction ]

Client brief: What was once a rented residence was gifted to the clients after they were married. Considering it is only a temporary home until the couple could fulfill their plans to relocate, renovations were kept at a minimum.

Project Description: The exterior underwent a repaint and required the removal of a few elements; the skeleton of the house was retained. Giving a warm and comfortable character to the house was important.

I’m excited to share some of our projects currently in the works, but I think it’s best to post them once they’re completed. In the meantime, let me update this portfolio by sharing what I do during my downtime — I create various visual images using AI (drawing inspiration from my sketches, thoughts, imagination, and ideas).
These images, along with what I see during my travels, what I read in books and magazines, and my admiration for various architects, have a significant influence on my designs. I began creating images like these during the pandemic as an escape from reality, reflecting my aesthetic while crafting soothing spaces that are both realistic and surreal. I started with sketches, then progressed to 3D models, and finally rendered them. I called it the (feel free to click on the hashtag) •

Client brief: To create a design that creatively showcases the brand's identity, and serves as their icon or signature whenever customers take photos with their beverages.

Project Description: ABC Cafe's identity as a go-to coffee place will be defined by the combination of three things: the materials used, its shape or silhouette, and the lighting. Warm lighting will evoke a welcoming vibe that draws customers. The brushed aluminum and reflective mirrors enhance this mood light while offering a contrast to the black pebble surface of the counter. This lends an illusion of disparity in weight, where the custom light fixture seems weightless compared to the solid foundation, much like a dollop of foam floating atop a strong brew. The kiosk and matching light click in an asymmetrical figure, a nod to the brand's modernity without being too abstract. The large round mirror with the brand's logo is an enticing selfie spot, a perfect marketing tool that doubles as a means for customer engagement.
