My 2 year old can barely form words.
He communicates by gesture and touch.
It shook my world when I saw how delayed he is compared to his peers.
But, the more I read the more I understand and the more I try to find ways to help him.
He might not be hitting his verbal communication milestones but all other aspects of this boy is a bit advanced compared to his peers.
This realization made me acknowledge how kids develop differently.
It emphasized the uniqueness of each individual.
Having this kid pushed me to become more observant, patient, and kind.
What I will always keep in mind is to make sure I'm there for him to help him develop the same way he helped me become a better person.
