This was my first plant purchase of 2022 - January 5th to be exact. I got it as a two-leafer: one pure green leaf while the other nicely variegated leaf has actually snapped near the petiole and was just taped. Seller did inform me about it beforehand and assured me of the good genes of the plant. I just needed to wait (patiently) until the next leaf sprouts and hoping it’s variegated.⁣⁣⁣
⁣⁣⁣
The next leaf was smaller but did show moderate variegation. The succeeding leaves have all then shown varying degrees of variegation.⁣⁣⁣
In short, di pa nya ko binibigo. It’s the only plant I have consistenly maintained indoors.⁣⁣⁣⁣

Pink Princess Philodendron⁣

This is my 5th pot.⁣
⁣
The first two pots died from root rot. They were the budget ones at an expensive price bought at the height of the pandemic.⁣
The 3rd and 4th pot are still with me which I got at a bargain price but lacking in the pink variegation department.⁣
⁣
And so finally with this 5th pot I’ve finally a PPP that really lives up to its name. Can’t wait to pole it up.💗⁣

The top leaves have now matured while the ones at the bottom are juvenile.⁣⁣
The variegation is ‘pretty in pink’ stable unlike with my syngonium mojito which I had to resort to cutting to bring out the variegation (though it’s still reverting even with enough bright light).⁣⁣

I’m done with syngoniums for now but this is one I’d like to keep.⁣⁣

Heart-shaped foliage, dark green leaves with defined white veining and pinkish hue on new leaves, the Philodendron Gloriousum DF is a classic and a standout esp if it grows bigger leaves. And since it’s a crawler, I can’t wait for it to fully occupy it’s rectangular pot. ⁣⁣
