Most common misconception of fiddle fig tree buyers is that they want their fiddles to be straight as possible. Look at the pic (ctto) below, yes its a beautiful tree but it lacks character(IMHO). It’s a common practice among fiddle nurseries to alter its growth in which we don’t practice in our farm. Leaf damages are what we called "battle scars" from the wild. There is no such thing as a perfect tree.

Let's appreciate the beauty of nature. Each tree has its own character and beauty. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
