DIY Natural Garden Sprays to Repel Pests 🌱
Want to keep pests away from your garden without relying on harsh chemicals? Try these easy and eco-friendly homemade sprays that work wonders for your plants:
1. Garlic Defense Mist
Crush 5 garlic cloves and steep them in 500 ml of water for about 12 hours.
Add 2 teaspoons of liquid soap (mild dish soap works well).
Strain the mix, then add 1 more liter of water to dilute.
Pour into a spray bottle and apply to your garden leaves—especially where pests tend to gather.
2. Citrus Zest Repellent
Peel a lemon or orange and grate the zest into boiling water (500 ml).
Let the citrus infusion cool and sit overnight (around 24 hours).
Strain, then transfer to a spray bottle. Mist onto plant leaves to repel bugs like aphids and whiteflies.
3. Oil-Based Bug Blocker
Blend 1 cup of vegetable oil with 1/4 cup of dish soap to create a concentrated base.
Mix 1 teaspoon of this oil blend with 1 liter of water for each use.
Spray the mixture on your plants to create a barrier against insects, especially soft-bodied ones.
