Situated at a Cul-de-sac, a rolling/sloping lot, has only 5 meters frontage, the unique attributes of this lot contributed to the form of this house.

While the configuration and slope of the lot as well as the building code setbacks may have given us challenge in the design process, we made sure that we maximized the lot and accommodated all the space requirements of the owners without sacrificing aesthetics.

We also took advantage of the natural slope of the site creating split levels and strategically locate the spaces in such a way all rooms will have natural light and ventilation.

Key features of this house include the full height cantilevered glass stairwell, contrasting natural stone and wood accents, the operable louvers at the attic and the balcony oriented towards East where the Marikana River is.
