Garlic vine in full bloom.
Got this plant during the pandemic, noong usong uso ang barter system dito sa probinsiya. Nakipagbarter ako..1 dozen powder detergent kapalit nito, only to find out na ang dami pala nito sa labas ng gate namin. The very plant na lagi ko pinuputol, akala ko wild vine lang, garlic vine din pala! 😅

The slowest growing bougie in my collection…Bougainvillea ‘Chitra Purple Sunset’
Bought this rooted plant in May last year, and until now — very minimal growth. I tried fertilizer, light trimming, and proper sun exposure, but she’s still taking her sweet time.

Some plants really move at their own pace.
But when she blooms? Totally worth the wait. Those purple sunset tones are something else — delicate but striking.

Planning to change the growing medium soon and hoping that better drainage and aeration will finally boost her growth. Patience is part of plant parenting, and this one is teaching me a lot. 💚

Meet Bougainvillea “Thimma Mr and Mrs.” — proof that sunlight changes everything.

One stayed under full sun and got beautifully sun-stressed, showing off deeper pink tones. The other enjoyed gentle morning sun only, keeping its blooms softer and lighter.

Nature’s reminder that environment shapes expression.
Light matters. Placement matters. Care matters.
