Round two of practicum for Term 1 is officially in the books! 💼 Returning for another session was all about building on everything we learned last time, stepping out of our comfort zones, and turning classroom concepts into actual hands-on application. Facing new challenges with a bit more confidence made all the difference this time around.

Every real-time obstacle, dynamic moment, and piece of feedback has made the learning curve completely worth it. Step by step, theory is transforming into real-world experience, and I couldn't be more grateful for the growth and progress along the way. Ready for whatever comes next! 🚀✨

Fresh term, fresh bakes! 🍌 Crisp on the outside, soft on the inside chocolate chip cookies and perfectly warm banana bread made for the ultimate start to Term 2's first practicum. There’s something so satisfying about seeing raw ingredients transform into delicious baked goods after hours of work.

We definitely set the bar high for ourselves on week one, but I wouldn't have it any other way. Ready to take on all the recipes, challenges, and sugar rushes Term 2 has in store for us! 💪🍪

🥐✨ POV: Learning is way better when pastries are involved! 🍩🤎

Who says studying has to be boring? For our Activity #2, we took our lesson beyond the classroom by tasting different types of pastries from our local bakery. From flaky and buttery to soft and sweet, every bite helped us understand the different characteristics, textures, flavors, and varieties of pastries in the most delicious way possible.

This activity wasn't just about eating—it was about learning through experience. Being able to see, smell, and taste each pastry made our lesson more interactive, enjoyable, and memorable. It also gave us a chance to appreciate the hard work of our local bakers and support small businesses in our community. 🫶

Safe to say... this was one of the sweetest lessons we've had! 🤍📚

Lights, camera, apron! 🎬🥖 Taking on Activity #1 with everything we’ve got!

For our very first activity in Bread and Pastry, we didn't just bake, we stepped out of our comfort zones and into the spotlight with a role-playing challenge! Let’s be honest, acting out real-life kitchen scenarios, handling high-pressure bakery rushes, and problem-solving on the spot is not as easy as it looks. There were moments of nerves, a few missed cues, and plenty of unexpected challenges along the way.

But what made this a success was the incredible teamwork and cooperation of this group. We supported each other through every scene, communicated flawlessly, and turned a stressful performance into a smooth, successful presentation.

It took a lot of coordination and trust, but we proved that when we work as a team, we can handle any script thrown at us. So incredibly proud of everyone for nailing our first activity! On to the next scene! 🥐✨
