Hello 👋 to all plant lovers, I thought of sharing brief story about my “BURGUNDY”
“I’m just so happy that I was able to revive my Rubber Tree Burgundy after several months of waiting. Look how almost perfect it is now 😍”
Notice the bright small Yellow Mushroom (shown in the picture👇) that popped out in my rubber tree plant which is probably “Leucocoprinus birnbaumii”. First time I saw this type of mushroom. 😧
The fungus is sometimes referred to as yellow houseplant mushroom, yellow parasol, or flower pot parasol... The Leucocoprinus birnbaumii fungus breaks down dead organic matter in the potting soil. 😮 This species is considered inedible, although the exact toxicity is unknown. So don't eat them, no matter how candy-like they appear!
I had this plant early this year when it has only 4 baby leaves. After few weeks, I noticed that all the leaves were looking so groggy and seems dying, leaves fell off too.
I repotted it, placed it in a better spot at home, replace its soil into a soil less mix and monitor it closely… just last weekend, I saw a yellow mushroom popped out and good thing it only lasted 2 days specially when I found out it’s some sort of a fungus. I placed my burgundy under drizzling rain and in a few days all it’s leaves erected, and a new leaf is ready to bulge out again. 😊
It’s a success! I was able to revive it 😃👍🏻 Now it’s lush and looking almost perfect plant now 🪴💚
