If you're repotting a nerve plant (Nerve Plant (Fittonia)), here's a simple guide:
🌱 When to Repot
When roots are growing out of the drainage holes.
When the soil dries out very quickly.
Usually every 1–2 years.
🪴 What You'll Need
A pot with drainage holes (1–2 inches larger than the current pot).
Fresh, well-draining potting mix (peat-based or houseplant mix).
Water.
Steps
Water the plant a few hours before repotting to reduce stress.
Remove it gently from the current pot, loosening the roots if they are tightly bound.
Add fresh soil to the bottom of the new pot.
Place the plant at the same depth it was growing before.
Fill around the roots with fresh potting mix and gently firm the soil.
Water thoroughly until water drains from the bottom.
Aftercare
Keep the plant in bright, indirect light.
Maintain high humidity if possible.
Keep the soil consistently moist but not soggy.
Avoid fertilizing for about 2–4 weeks after repotting.
