Water hyacinth (Eichhornia crassipes), an invasive aquatic w**d, poses significant environmental and economic challenges due to its rapid spread. However, its fibrous nature makes it a promising alternative raw material for handicrafts, textiles, and furniture, addressing the shortage of natural fibers like abaca. Through harnessing water hyacinth’s potential, Galleria Arhikhasinto aims to create a center for innovation, and industrial tourism, benefiting industries, local communities, and national development goals. This initiative aligns with Sustainable Development Goals and national programs, while also supporting Taguig City’s agenda for environmental sustainability and economic empowerment.

𝐓𝐇𝐎𝐔𝐆𝐇𝐓 𝐏𝐑𝐎𝐂𝐄𝐒𝐒: 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐬𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐖𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐞 𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐨 𝐖𝐨𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫! 𝐅𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐏𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝐭𝐨 𝐏𝐞𝐬𝐨.

I view Water Hyacinth as a valuable source rather than solely a problem, pest, or a waste. This thesis opens an opportunity to turn this from PEST TO PESO. Hence, the purpose of this study is 𝘁𝗼 𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗮 𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘂𝗲 𝘄𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗲𝗻𝘂𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗶𝗻𝗻𝗼𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗵𝗮𝗽𝗽𝗲𝗻𝘀.

THE ROLE OF LIGHTING

The cool blue illumination enhances the castle’s fairytale-like presence, making it stand out against the darkening sky. The strategic use of lighting highlights the architectural details, from the pointed turrets to the arched windows, drawing attention to the grandeur and elegance of the structure.

Beyond aesthetics, lighting contributes to the emotional impact of a place. The glowing castle evokes a sense of wonder, nostalgia, and fantasy, making it a destination that lingers in people's memories. Architectural Style: Neo-classical Architecture Style on a Latin cross (cruciform) Layout

ARCHITECTURE AND DESIGN
The Taal Basilica is primarily characterized by Neoclassical architecture, which emphasizes grandeur and symmetry. The stone church has three naves with a grand transept and an elegant façade with Ionic and Doric orders.
In addition to its Neoclassical features, the basilica incorporates elements from Baroque, Gothic, and Romanesque styles. Architectural Style: Romanesque Revival architecture

SYMMETRY
Architecture is of the arts that widely employ geometric principles such as symmetry. Any object or structure that has two similar shapes when a central line passes through it is said to be symmetrical. Therefore, symmetry gives a mirror image of a structure or object along its central line. In architecture, symmetry is portrayed as a balanced distribution and arrangement of various components of a building, such as spaces and forms, on the two opposite sides of a central line.

Bilateral symmetry is exhibited in structures that give identical halves along an axis. Bilateral symmetry is the most common type of symmetry found in most buildings like the Baguio Cathedral of Our Lady of the Atonement.
