The project originates out of a survey conducted in a conventional market-based in Islamabad that observes the street vendor’s culture, exerting for enhancing street livelihood in urban Pakistan.

Realizing the need for a much-improved arrangement of vending zones, a design exercise could be a possible solution to re-imagine a modular structure that is purpose-built and far playful, modular enough to dwell within the existing market, provoking an inspiration at a micro-scale, eventually evolving the current typology and solving any related concerns such as class-indifference, structural inflexibility, un-arranged orchestration and taking away the encroachers tag from the primary audience, the street vendors.

A design intervention could help uplift the dynamics of the street economy.
