The precise concrete edge cutting through the natural rock formations and cold water. I love how the wet shaders blend the building into the environment. It stands firm against the lake.

Deep inside the structure.
The low angle emphasizes the weight and protective nature of the concrete walls. Outside it’s freezing, inside it’s pure calm. Moody lighting and deep shadows define the lounge area.

A concrete island in the mist.
A wide view of the structure. The goal was to make this heavy brutalist form feel like it’s floating silently on the lake water. Total seclusion. A place to disconnect from the noise.

Where architecture meets geology.
We didn’t just build on the rock; we built around it. Sleeping right next to the integrated cliff face brings a grounding, primal energy to the bedroom. The ultimate connection to nature inside the Monolith.

Shelter from the storm.
The architecture acts as a rigid frame for the landscape outside. I kept the interior minimal and symmetrical to let the cold mountains dominate the space. Contrast is everything: safe inside, harsh outside.

The storm outside emphasized the raw texture of the wet concrete. The only warmth comes from the tail lights, cutting through the Nordic rain. It’s not just a house; it’s a fortress against the elements.
