OK, mini CASE STUDY (on my own skin). We've designed in 2010 a bridge in Duszniki Zdrój / Jamrozowa Polana for biathlon Duszniki Arena. There were many factors / influences of third parties - that generally demanded low cost of er****on of the object and bridge constructor wanted to optimize his work using schemes he used before. This year I've visited the arena for Open European Biathlon Championships and I have to say I SHOULD NOT GO FOR COMPROMISES in terms of achitectural form of the bridge! Money if lost can be earned, but a build object stays and cannot be simply improved. The spectator would not notice and would not care about the cost of the building/object but will certainly notice the form, function and utility. The bridge works fine, great for skiers, but I regret not to stick firmly to the previous ideas for its architectural form. See the renderings and real pictures. :: over and out ::
