It was a pleasure to participate in the Midterm Week Review at as jurors for ARAD 302, alongside Arch. Carlos Hernandez and Professors Arq. Andrea Monroig and Arq. Luis Camaño.

Developed for the ACSA 2026 Steel Competition, the proposals explored the design of a Community Dance Center through steel’s resilience, efficiency, sustainability, and architectural expression.

Today we participated in Espacio Común, engaging in a thoughtful dialogue on Architecture, Artificial Intelligence, and Neurotechnology.

The interview, led by Arq. Jesuan Ramos, featured Arq. Wilfredo Adorno of Adorno Arquitectos and Arq. Luis Camaño of Camaño Arch.

During the conversation, Arq. Wilfredo Adorno reflected on the evolving integration of immersive Virtual Reality (VR) environments and advanced representational technologies within architectural practice. He discussed the implementation of Building Information Modeling (BIM) methodologies and Artificial Intelligence as analytical and predictive tools that enhance spatial simulation, interdisciplinary coordination, and data-informed decision-making across the design and construction continuum.

The interview will be available next Thursday, March 12 at 10:00 a.m. on Católica Radio 88.9 and 89.1 FM.

We appreciate Arq. Jesuan Ramos for fostering critical conversations that examine the intersection of emerging technologies and the intellectual future of the built environment.

El Corral: Tejiendo Vínculos para la Economía Azul
Charla presentada por la Arq. Yadira Adorno en
Colegio de Arquitectos y Arquitectos Paisajistas de Puerto Rico el 28 de octubre de 2025.

Una conversación sobre cómo el diseño puede convertirse en puente entre disciplinas,usuarios y su entorno.

La propuesta del MBRIC se inspira en los corrales de pesca taínos, aquellos recintos curvos construidos con estacas y bejucos que atrapaban peces en aguas poco profundas.

Este gesto ancestral se reinterpreta su envolvente arquitectónica: un sistema de aletas verticales de aluminio que rodea el edificio, creando una protección continua frente al clima y recordando, en su ritmo, la traza del corral original.

A meaningful afternoon celebrating Puerto Rican architecture. Held at Plaza Las Américas, the special presentation showcased the winning projects of the XVIII Puerto Rico Architecture and Landscape Architecture Biennial 2025.
Architect Yadira Adorno presented the design journey of El Corral (Unbuilt Project Award), a collaborative project between Adorno Arquitectos and Kosy Collective.

The event also featured presentations by Architects Nathaniel Fuster (Built Project Award) and Víctor Díaz Paunetto (National Award), and was moderated by CAAPPR Vice President, Architect José del Valle.

🏛Con una asistencia mucho mayor a la esperada, el Colegio de Arquitectos y Arquitectos Paisajistas de Puerto Rico celebró en días recientes su 47ta. Convención Anual.

🌴Bajo el título “Mas allá de la Isla”, se presentó un valioso calendario de charlas educativas dirigidas a romper con los límites de la insularidad y conectar con prácticas y temas internacionales sobre la arquitectura y la arquitectura paisajista.

🏅De igual manera, la Convención fue el escenario para la lectura del Laudo de su XVIII Bienal de Arquitectura y Arquitectura Paisajista.

🏆El Arq. Victor Diaz Paunetto recibió el Premio Nacional de Arquitectura 2025 por su proyecto “Edificio de las Artes Médicas.”

🗳Durante la Convención, también se llevó a cabo la Asamblea Anual del CAAPPR, en la cual resultó electa como próxima presidenta la Arq. Psj. Olga Angueira.

Adorno Arquitectos + KOSY Collective has been awarded the Prize for Unbuilt Work for the project El Corral.
Now in the completed construction documentation phase, this proposal is set to be developed at the Roosevelt Roads Base.
We thank the for the opportunity to collaborate on the design and development of this architectural intervention in a context of significant strategic and heritage value.
