Decking Dave's latest construction: a new deck for the Captains Bar terrace of the Members Clubhouse, Quinta do Lago Golf Club.

This is a deck of Iroko hardwood boards, screwed directly to the supporting sub-structure, to minimise gaps, give greater stability and a more continuous surface.

Nearly 10,000 screws were used - hot work in August!

We hope the club members & guests enjoy their new deck.

A nice job for some very nice people :-)

DIY DECK TILES – THE INSTANT DECKING!

Ideal for -

Each tile = 30x30cm comprising 6x Acacia hardwood slats (15mm thick) on a polyethylene mesh base (total 28mm thick).

Wood stained medium-brown and smoothed to a quality finish. Mesh base keeps decking off the floor allowing water to soak through and air to circulate.

No sub-frame or fixings necessary - interlocking tiles clip together in seconds. All that's needed is a reasonably level floor and you can lay your own deck in a matter of minutes!
