Last Saturday in Portimão, Kirsti Øygarden, architect and partner at A-lab joined the round table discussion “Housing and Quality of Life”, organized by Rádio Portimão and Associação Cívica Cidade da Participação.
Kirsti contributed with perspectives shaped by international practice and cross-border experience, reflecting on how housing, urban development, participation, and quality of life are deeply interconnected.
The conversation brought together different voices to discuss the future of our cities and communities, reinforcing the importance of dialogue between local realities and international knowledge.

 Welcome to Soria Hage, a residential project nestled in the historic neighbourhood at the heart of Oslo.

The journey began by scanning and registering the existing colors of the neighborhood. These hues became the foundation for a locally rooted palette, tested on-site under different light conditions to ensure harmony with the city’s character.
