A intervenção sobre uma estrutura existente, transforma a pré-existência industrial em 4 unidades independentes de armazenagem com aproximadamente 300 m2 cada, aumentando a cércea, sem no entanto acrescentar novos pisos. A libertação de uma única frente permitiu explorar o policarbonato translúcido como elemento de fachada e cobertura, garantindo uma iluminação homogénea dos espaços de trabalho ao longo do dia. A estrutura metálica modular, definida por pórticos espaçados de 5 em 5 metros, reforça a flexibilidade interior das unidades, complementadas por pequenos mezaninos de apoio administrativo. A cobertura foi desenhada para potenciar simultaneamente a entrada de luz natural e a futura integração de painéis fotovoltaicos, reduzindo o consumo energético e melhorando o conforto dos utilizadores.
The intervention on an existing structure subdivides the current industrial warehouse into four independent storage units of approximately 300 sqm each, increasing the overall height without adding new floors.
The release of a single façade allowed the use of translucent polycarbonate as both façade and roofing material, ensuring a soft and even distribution of natural light throughout the working spaces during the day. The modular steel structure, defined by portal frames spaced every five metres, reinforces the interior flexibility of each unit, complemented by small mezzanines for administrative support. The roof was designed to simultaneously maximise natural daylight and allow the future integration of photovoltaic panels, reducing energy consumption while improving user comfort.
