Humanitarian crisis, doing our little bit to HELP
Ukrainian family with 2 amazing kids, Alex with 10 and Ana with 8 currently hosted by us.
They had a good happy life in Kharkiv, Eastern Ukraine, just like the most of us.
When the war and bombardment started, they quickly packed lightly to escape the city. They showed me the pictures of their destroyed apartments and factory from the bomb.
Together with their dog, they spend 22 days driving on the road to escape the war, numerous nights spend in their car and arrive on our make shift shelter on Thursday night.
Our make shift shelter is nothing luxury, is an old house from grandparents of Betamia. Yet we tried our best spending 2 whole days to clean and upgrade the house to host them.
On Thursday and over the weekend, we spent time with their family. We tried our best to feed them, to cheer them, show them our neighbourhood and even bring them to a nearby beach for therapy. Betamia even bring Elena for yoga class.
We are still expecting to host another mother with her 5 years old son on next few days.
I will constantly reach out to all of you as we will need support (financially and resources) to support these families at least in the next few months time.
Should you wish to help, feel free to contact me and we will see how you can assist in this cause.
