Topography/Tipography

An exercise about designing a public space with very tight restritions. Three fields had to fit on a 30m platform on a top of a hill, while creating a public space that should become a true “Ágora”.

Due to a low budget, we relied on Topography, to create new surfaces that allows you to climb them and see further. It allows you to sunbathe, to hide with your significant other, or just to enjoy the amazing presence of trees and bushes that will raise from this new hills.

We could not have expensive stone on the ground. So, we relied on Tipography to create on the ground some words that guide you to the cultural and historic sights of the surrounding area. We also painted lines on the ground, they get the Topography and the Tipography together. Also, they can guide you to somewhere interesting, or to nowhere at all.

An exercise about designing a public space with very tight restritions. Three fields had to fit on a 30m platform on a top of a hill, while creating a public space that should become a true “Ágora”.
