يعكس قصر الشيخ أحمد بن مبارك آل ثاني بعض الملامح المعمارية من تأثيرات خارج حدود قطر، بينما يبرز المسجد المجاور له أحد الممارسات العمرانية السائدة في تلك الفترة، والمتمثلة في تخصيص فضاءات للعبادة ضمن نطاق المسكن الخاص، وهو ما يوضحه المعماري إبراهيم محمد جيده في كتابه اكتشاف الديكو العربي: العمارة الحديثة المبكرة في قطر.

Jaber bin Ahmed Al Sulaiti Villa, designed by Arab Engineering Bureau in 1974, reflects early modern architecture in Qatar.

The original hand-drafted drawings reveals direct access to key spaces including the majlis, dining, guest room, office, and service areas, with a clear separation between public and family zones.

An evening well spent exploring the remarkable work of G*e Aulenti, in cooperation with the Embassy of the Republic of Italy in Qatar.

في أحد أبرز محاضراته حتى الآن، قدّم المعماري إبراهيم جيده طرحاً عميقًا حول مراحل تحول وتطور الهوية المعمارية لمدينة الدوحة، وذلك خلال برنامج TEDx في جامعة جورجتاون قطر بتاريخ 14 فبراير 2026.

منتجع بندر الخيران هو ملاذ ساحلي راقٍ تنسجم فيه العمارة بسلاسة مع محيطها، معبّرةً عن الطابع العُماني من خلال الخامات الدافئة والمواد الطبيعية والتفاصيل الحرفية. ويضفي تأثير سانتوريني لمسة خفيفة من الخطوط الدقيقة والألوان الهادئة التي تساهم بدورها في تشكيل مساحات أنيقة متجذّرة في الثقافة والفخامة المعاصرة على سواحل عُمان.

Located within the historic setting of Qalhat, the Visitor Center draws its architectural language from the curves of seashells and the sculpted paths of the nearby wadi. Its form pays tribute to the legacy of the region, referencing the construction of the Tomb of Bibi Maryam, where sand, coral, and seashells shape the landscape.

Through a contemporary reinterpretation of these natural materials and forms, the building stands as a bridge between past and present, which creates an immersive experience that merges landscape, memory, and modern expression.

يقع مركز زوّار قلهات في قلب السياق التاريخي للمدينة، مستمدًا حضوره المعماري من طبيعة الموقع وثراء سردياته. تتشكّل ملامحه من انسيابية الأصداف البحرية وتكوينات الوادي المجاور، في انعكاسٍ لعلاقة المكان بالبحر والأرض عبر الزمن. ويأتي تكوينه امتدادًا لإرث قلهات العمراني، مستحضرًا روح ضريح بيبي مريم وتقنياته البنائية.

ومن خلال تأويلٍ معاصر لهذه المواد والأشكال العضوية، يتجلّى المبنى كجسرٍ يربط الماضي بالحاضر، ليمنح الزائر تجربة مكانية غامرة تتداخل فيها الذاكرة مع التعبير المعماري المعاصر.
