ROOF HOME

A house shaped by a single architectural gesture: the roof itself.
The architectural identity of the project emerges from a roof form that rises gradually from 1 floor to 3 floors, creating a dynamic spatial transition across the building.
The eastern side remains low and intimate, while the western side expands vertically into a 3-story volume. Between these two contrasting masses, a dramatic double-height living and dining space becomes the heart of the house.
One of the defining elements of the project is the staircase-library system.
Instead of using heavy structural walls, the staircase is carried by thin vertical elements that simultaneously function as bookshelves — separating the living and dining spaces while preserving visual continuity and openness.
Warm timber surfaces, natural light, suspended voids, and handcrafted textures create an atmosphere that is both contemporary and deeply tactile.

MAC Panama

The MAC Panama Museum is not conceived as a conventional museum building.Instead, it is defined by a monumental spatial gesture — a 25-meter-high empty volume that becomes the primary architectural experience.
Within this vast void, the galleries are suspended like bridges, spanning from one side of the structure to the other. These hanging volumes are anchored into massive 1-meter-thick structural walls, emphasizing both their weight and their defiance of gravity.
This spatial strategy is a direct response to Panama’s tropical climate. Rather than enclosing the museum as a fully conditioned interior, the project introduces a semi-open cultural plaza — a shaded, breathable environment that allows air, light, and public life to flow through the building.
The central void functions as a semi-open exhibition space, accessible to all visitors. It is not merely a circulation area, but an active public realm where sculptures, installations, and large-scale artworks are displayed within the open vertical volume.
Suspended above, three primary gallery volumes define the core exhibition program:
Two galleries with a height of 4 meters
One gallery with a height of 6 meters
These elevated galleries are interconnected through a circulation system that moves along the structural walls. Visitors can navigate the museum either via elevators or through staircases that are attached to and trace the inner surfaces of the walls, reinforcing the relationship between movement, structure, and space.
The result is a museum that operates simultaneously as:
an architectural object, a public urban space, and a climatic response to its environment.
MAC Panama redefines the museum not as a closed container of art, but as an open, vertical landscape where structure, climate, and culture are interwoven.

While designing in Eldoret, , we developed the spatial planning of over 200 individual spaces.
In residential projects of a similar scale (around 11,000 m²), we typically deal with 14–15 spaces. Managing 200 interconnected spaces and ensuring that all functions operate seamlessly—like a well-coordinated machine—was the greatest challenge of this project.
On the façade, instead of following a conventional design language, we aimed to create a more contextual and conceptual approach. The ward floors, accommodating 53 beds, were designed with wood-inspired profiles, drawing inspiration from the surrounding forests. In contrast, service areas such as operating rooms and doctors’ offices were expressed as more solid, monolithic volumes.
This approach allowed us to visually separate the hospital’s two primary functions on the façade.
Reale Hospital, one of the five hospital projects designed by WALL, stands out as both one of the most challenging and one of the most rewarding projects we have worked on.

Architecture is often thought to be completed before construction begins. But in reality, design continues.

During construction, new ideas emerge. Clients discover new desires. Spaces reveal new potentials.
One of the most beautiful examples of this evolution happened in our Villa M2 project.

While the building was already under construction, we redesigned the entrance space. On the double-height wall, we introduced a suspended installation — circular forms floating in the air like raindrops, like bubbles.
These soft, fluid movements extended toward the living room, carrying the warmth and texture of wood along with them.

The result was more original than our initial proposal — and even more aligned with our client’s emotional expectations.

Architecture is not a frozen decision.
It is a living thought process.
And thought never truly ends.
At WALL, we continue designing until the very last phase of construction — because we believe design is not a moment. It is a continuous act of thinking.

RMT Office is happening!

The construction of our RMT Office project in Kigali/opposite of Serane Hotel, where we replaced the conventional entrance windbreak with a V-shaped steel column design, is continuing to progress! The playful windows we designed for the stair towers introduce a surprising rhythm to urban life in Kigali!
