In the face of rising urban populations and rapidly changing lifestyles, the challenge is not simply to build high-rise structures. We need to build high-rise communities. The future is not just taller- it’s also more diverse, more collective and more solitary too.
The project is composed of 5 components:
Housing, retail and entertainment amenities in its podium, including roof gardens and dine-in terraces. The tower includes offices, a spa/fitness gym with outdoor swimming pool, restaurants, a hotel, apartments and a penthouse where people can enjoy the city view and party.
With a height of 120 meters and 31 stories, the tower is heavily influenced by the local landscape inspired by Tuweek rocky mountains, sand-dunes, and earth colors. The tower is erected from a kind of crater, with its colorful gradient reflective double skin rising to the air & creating a dynamic show of light & glow into the skyline of the city.
The diagonal orientation of the tower breaks the linearity of the city grid and allows an open view towards the city as well as protecting the interior space from direct sunlight, which is also reduced by the pixelated double skin.
Designed as a sculptural element, the tower is a play of pure geometry swiping the volumes of each function to create a dynamic visual appearance.
