Another kitchen/garden experiment

This time I’ve taken a pineapple top to see if I can turn it into a new plant

It’s probably going to take a while if it was anything like getting the lemongrass to root. But I’m learning to be patient with these things nowadays

I’d thought I’d give you a little update on the Sweet Potato family

You all met the star of Malmö Garden Show but what you didn’t se were the other ones back home

2 of the family members were on track and doing their thing….

…..and we all have that family member who fails to tow the line 😉😉
1 has grown roots but no slips while the last guy just isn’t cooperating at ALL

But I guess that’s the fun in gardening it’s not all plain sailing

In a week or so I’ll be doing the next step transferring them into a container, so remember to follow along for more sweet potato updates

The flowers you are buying have been thought about long before they end up in your vase. Seeds have been sown and bulbs planted in the winter months.

Your flowers haven’t traveled hundreds of miles or treated with chemicals. They’ve traveled from Djupadal and treated with love.

I need your help

What is the next step for my eucalyptus Baby Blue?
Do I just pot them on or is there a magic step involved

The aim is for 4 plants to make it into the garden

Only a trip to the plot tomorrow will I know if all my rabbit proofing has worked

You can only research what rabbits won’t nibble, but hopefully looking to see what neighbouring plot holders are growing I can guess what will survive

I should be able to put up a mini fence which should deter them pesky rabbits

I’ve unintentionally made myself a meadow

The grasses are spectacular but unfortunately I’m going to have to cut them back.
They can be a breeding ground for ticks and if there is a tick nearby it’s guaranteed to find me

Thank you to family and friends near and far for your support during all of this craziness

Thank you to everyone who came to Malmö Garden Show over that past few days. Your encouraging and supportive comments made it all worthwhile.

Thank you to my new found gardening friends I can’t wait to work with you in the future.

Thank you to the humblest Sweet Potato who didn’t want to be become an internet star but was forced into the spotlight

You guys are in for an amazing time when you come to Malmö Garden Show this year.
Our balcony show gardens are fantastic and the guys building the exhibition gardens are going to blow you away with their creations.
