🦔Vi vet att igelkottarna har 5.000-7.000 taggar. Och att de sänker kroppstemperaturen till bara 4 grader när de går i vinterdvala. Vi vet också att igelkottarna minskar i antal. Men vi vet inte hur många vi har kvar...

Därför pågår Igelkottsveckan nu 12-18 augusti. Tillsammans räknar vi igelkottar i en rikstäckande inventering. Och du kan fortsätta rapportera in dina igelkottsobservationer under hela hösten.

Har du sett några igelkottar? Rapportera in dem! Har du inte sett en enda igelkott? Rapportera in det också! För noll igelkottar är också en viktig observation, som hjälper till att göra kartläggningen korrekt.

Trachycarpus sp. 'Plovdiv' - Selected for cold in combination with moisture since 2019, if you scroll back to 20.Oct.2019 on this page, you will find the post.
They are still here and alive, I counted 9 pcs, but we will see how many there actually are, come autumn.

Trachycarpus 'Wagnerianus' - The large male waggie is flowering, with five flower spikes counted.

Trachycarpus 'Wagnerianus' & Trachycarpus takil (Alexander Collection) - It's been a long and harsh winter ❄️ with below freezing temperatures day and night, for around 5 weeks, with the lowest temperature being around -14°C = 6.8°F.

These two palms have had minimal protection with no supplemental heat for about 2/3 of this harsh period and had their protection removed even though there where still nighttime frosts and some daytime frosts as well and they have done extremely well, all things considered and have started pushing new fresh growth 🌴

Partial damage on the waggie and around 3/4 damage on the takil.

The company is now registered, we are aiming to have the website up and running and accepting worldwide orders this month, with Plantpassport and optional (if needed) Phytosanitary Certificate available, however please note that for countries outside of the EU you might need import permit and maybe other permits, but we will do our best to make the experience as streamlined as possible.

We will keep you updated through these usual channels.

Hey guys 👋

I haven't been posting much lately and there's a reason for that.

In order to receive governmental support for the upcoming company, I am unfortunately obligated to stop posting on my page, up to when the company is officially open.
I was unaware of this, prior.

The opening date is unfortunately pushed forward to January/February, since the budget calculations I provided was unfortunately not enough and a total of four budget calculations are needed, instead of the single one that I provided.

Once again, we are sorry for the delays, hopefully everything will be ready in January/February with no more delays.

We can't wait to launch the company and the website, so that you can get your hands on, rare selections of different species, with our speciality selection the plants are selected for humidity in combination with cold.
