𝗦𝘁𝗼𝗿𝗮𝗴𝗲 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸𝘀 𝗯𝗲𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝘄𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝗶𝘁 𝗿𝗲𝗳𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘁𝘀 𝗱𝗮𝗶𝗹𝘆 𝗵𝗮𝗯𝗶𝘁𝘀.

Rather than storing everything behind closed doors, an open hanging section is reserved for clothes in rotation, ready for the next day or worn again soon.

Closed storage contains the rest of the wardrobe, while the open section creates space for everyday items to remain visible and within easy reach.

A simple split that keeps daily essentials within reach, without adding visual noise.

While the overall layout remains largely unchanged, the kitchen now accommodates more functions within the same space.

• Built-In Appliances
A refrigerator, oven, and dishwasher have been incorporated into the cabinetry as part of the overall design.

• Continuous Surface
The countertop continues towards the window, creating additional surface area for everyday use.

• Lighter Material Palette
A lighter material palette enhances the sense of openness within the space.

A wider range of functions, within the same kitchen.

𝗢𝗻𝗲 𝗱𝗮𝗿𝗸𝗲𝗿 𝘀𝘂𝗿𝗳𝗮𝗰𝗲 𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝗴𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗮 𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝗿𝗼𝗼𝗺 𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗱𝗲𝗽𝘁𝗵.

In this bedroom, the dark wood headboard was placed against white walls, light bedding, and sheer curtains to create stronger contrast across the room.

When surfaces within a space are too similar in tone, the edges between them become less defined.

The room can start to look visually one-dimensional, even when the material palette is clean and minimal.

This contrast helps to:
• create stronger depth perception
• reduce the visual flatness of the long white surfaces
• make the warm lighting appear softer against the darker material

The room still feels bright, but with clearer visual depth and structure.

This 𝟱-𝗥𝗼𝗼𝗺 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗮𝗹𝗲 𝗛𝗗𝗕 at 𝗕𝗶𝘀𝗵𝗮𝗻 𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗲𝘁 𝟭𝟮 was redesigned through layout adjustments, creating a home that feels brighter, more spacious, and better connected.

✔️ 𝗙𝗼𝘆𝗲𝗿 & 𝗘𝗻𝘁𝗿𝘆
The original balcony area was levelled and integrated into the foyer, extending the living space while introducing additional storage without blocking natural light.

✔️ 𝗢𝗽𝗲𝗻 𝗟𝗶𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗔𝗿𝗲𝗮
The study room was removed to open up the living and dining areas, allowing more natural light to reach deeper into the home. A built-in daybed was also introduced by the windows, creating a more relaxed corner within the shared living space.

✔️ 𝗘𝘅𝗽𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗱 𝗠𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗕𝗲𝗱𝗿𝗼𝗼𝗺
The master bedroom was expanded to create separate zones for resting and working, while also allowing space for a walk-in wardrobe within the room.

✔️ 𝗧𝗼𝗻𝗲 & 𝗟𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴
A restrained tonal palette and layered lighting approach help maintain a softer and more cohesive atmosphere throughout the home.

Thoughtful spatial planning can completely transform the feel of a resale home.

𝗠𝗼𝘀𝘁 𝗽𝗲𝗼𝗽𝗹𝗲 𝗸𝗲𝗲𝗽 𝗰𝗲𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘀 𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝗺𝗮𝗸𝗲 𝗮 𝘀𝗽𝗮𝗰𝗲 𝗳𝗲𝗲𝗹 𝗯𝗶𝗴𝗴𝗲𝗿.

But sometimes, making the ceiling visually “heavier” creates a better balance instead.

Here, the darker ceiling was used to:
• visually frame the living area
• reduce the flatness of a long white space
• create stronger depth perception
• make the lighting feel softer and more grounded

A darker tone above can make a space feel more intimate, not smaller.

The key is proportion, lighting, and how the tones are distributed across the room.
