During Singapore Design Week 2025, we had the opportunity to conduct another session of Hello Empathy with the public who signed up!

During the gameplay session, we strive to create these spaces to have meaningful conversations for everyone to gain some insights towards the autism community.

From the personalities to embody, to the questions and facts revealed in the session, we want to bring the participants into others’ shoes, to think for others.

Beyond that, we’d hope that the roleplaying and introspective time would benefit individuals to be more empathetic toward the communities that we are working with.

Let us know if you are interested in more sessions! You can also have a copy of this project via our links. Do check them out!

Held our session of WeCreate Clinic with these young community designers!

With our belief in collaboration and sharing knowledge, this initiative was born from us wanting to engage the communities that are looking to develop projects with the social good in mind.

Through such conversations, we hope that our experiences and insights could help new community projects to grow meaningfully.

If you have something that you think aligns with what we shared, do share it with us!

As part of Communityze, we exhibited alongside the members, tackling the theme of “Community by Design”!

Alongside our past project displays are the test pieces for our upcoming project with Roots Cambodia.

The goal of this showcase, in response to the theme, is for us to explore potential avenues for creating tangible spaces and processes to aid the community in achieving a sustainable livelihood.

One idea we are exploring is to make use of the plastic obtainable natively in the region, and recycle it into potential products for sale while educating the community in the development processes on other skills, such as business and craftsmanship.

This is just a peek at what we hope to continue doing with Communityze, sharing and driving more participatory practices and coming up with ways to empower the communities we work with!

WeCreate Studio is honoured to share that our card game "Hello Empathy", have received an award for Singapore Good Design 2025!WeCreate Studio is honoured to share that our conversational card game Hello Empathy, has received an award for Singapore Good Design 2025!

Hello Empathy was the result of a one-year research, to enhance the quality of spatial design for persons with autism. The result was the card game, in which we designed the gameplay to promote inclusivity. The goal was to empower the participants' capacity to think and design well for the community, with compassion and empathy in mind.

In it, we came up with the “5 Heart Ways” framework to guide designers to exercise empathy, uncover others' real needs and make meaningful decisions during the design process.

Thank you to those who were part of this project! And we sincerely hope that this humble work of ours can move such conversations forward.

If you wish to experience this game yourself and share it with people around you, check it out and consider getting one here! www.hello-empathy.com

Wayfinding design helps people navigate spaces using signage, architecture, and visual cues to reduce confusion. We also consider accessibility for people of all abilities.

For example, think of tactile floor strips guiding someone with low vision through a train station, or clear icons helping non-native speakers find hospital departments. It’s about creating spaces that everyone can navigate with confidence.

Take a look at a small part of the process the team went through to be inclusive in the design.

Look at what goes on behind the signage design at the upcoming Dabu Hakka Building! From selecting materials to creating mock-ups to test different finishes that align with the design intent, we took on the traditional signage with a modern approach.

Keep your eyes peeled as we share more about the construction and our considerations as the building moves towards completion!

💡 Designing for change goes beyond great ideas—the holistic, systematic approach connecting the dots leads to creating real impact with our designs. ✨

At WeCreate Studio, we employ design thinking methodologies to understand user needs, seek expert alignments from diverse industries to optimise our design and conduct in-depth desktop research to learn from past successes and best practices. By testing, learning, and refining in quick cycles, we bridge the gaps and uncover new opportunities to design more inclusive solutions.

But there’s no one-size-fits-all approach! Every project is unique, and adapting these methods to fit specific needs ensures the best outcomes.

After all, good design evolves with the challenge!
